Under the stewardship of its owner Derek Heelis, Falmouth Cycles
involves itself with the local community. They setup Carrick Riders
which is an off road mountain club which specialises in 4X bike
racing. They have built an international quality 4X track at Pennance
Mill FM in Falmouth, which is where they host the National 4X
Championships every year.
To ride the course you need to obtain a day pass from Falmouth
Cycles. Each April they also organise the Falmouth Urban Down Hill
Championships at the university, this is a real flag ship event as it is
the only down hill race in Cornwall.
